Campaign Story

My name is Amber and my husband is Kirk. We’ve been trying to get pregnant for about 8 years now. Ive always struggled with PCOS since my teenage years. I never thought that I would have so many complications when it comes to trying to get pregnant. It’s such a roller coaster of emotions. The nights laying down praying and wishing that it was easy for me. Feelings I have when I think I failed my husband as a wife that I cannot give him a family that he deserves. The days feeling like it will never happen and feelings of giving up. We are christians and have strong faith in God’s timing, but in my situation, I need additional help from a doctor. We have been to fertility specialist and completed 3 rounds of failed IUIs. I developed cyst each round, which makes it even more difficult to conceive. Our only hope is in doing IVF. It’s a feeling of defeat when it comes to this point. Then, the finances are a barrier. I work at a dental clinic as Assistant Office Manager. I’ve been consistent there for about 6 years. Kirk is a Crane Operator at and aluminum plant. He’s been there for about 5 years. Kirk is 28 and I am 31. We are still fairly young, however we are ready to start our family. We’ve been married for about a year now and still have hope in one day having our little miracle baby. We live in Louisiana and our insurance won’t cover any infertility treatments. The banks are tight on our end when it comes to personal loans, high interest rates with high monthly payments that we cannot afford. At this point we have tried everything in our will power to make this happen and have still come to a dead end. Landing us to this platform to let others know our story with hopes that someone could feel our pain. This burden has been on us for a long time and we are reaching out for help to relieve us from this hurt.
